Although there was still some hope for Anthem from Bioware, the project may be on the verge of a complete end. That will be decided this week at Electronic Arts.
According to a report from Bloomberg , the publisher will now look at the project and then decide whether to continue funding or to discontinue it entirely. In the latter case, it would be the biggest failure ever for organic goods.
Most recently, around 30 people at Bioware worked on Anthem 2.0 , but according to Bloomberg, at least three times the number of people would be necessary to make it happen. It remains to be seen whether EA would like to provide these resources in the event of an uncertain success.
Most recently, Bioware admitted that Anthem 2.0 was a longer process , as they wanted to revise the much-criticized loot system. A pirate setting was also discussed, but the players kept signaling that there was hardly any interest in Anthem and that the project should be buried.
Ever since its launch many people saw this type of scenario playing out. However it remains to be seen.
As soon as there is more news about the project and Anthem 2.0 , we will submit it immediately.
